According to The Korea Herald, Korea’s tech companies are following global trends by allowing their employees more flexible work hours for a better work-life balance.

Resulting from extensive work-from-home periods due to the pandemic, Kakao executives decided to impliment a 4-day working week, which is being tested out this month. So, their employees get Fridays off on top of being allowed to continue working remotely.

Naver also switched it up with the pandemic by allowing its employees to choose how many days a week to work in the office. They also introduced a “workcation” – blending remote work with up to 5-days vacations in and out of the country.

Line Plus went a step further by supporting its employees to work from overseas as long as the time difference is less than 4 hours with Korea. They recognise international experience as a benefit to their business. Being smart there, Line! You should hire more foreign developers *wink wink”
